چکیده

among the studies related to power systems are the contingency analysis for judging the system security and short circuit study for relay coordination. due to continuous and repeated performation of these studies for different system configurations, the solution algorithms but also on applied numerical techniques. compensation and partial matrix refactorization are two methods that are often used for conducting these studies. in the first part of this article the compensation method is briefly covered. in the proceeding sections, algorithms for simulating the outages of mutually coupled branches, line-end sliding faults, to be used in compensation method, will be presented.

Modelling and Simulation of a Transformer With Inter-turn Fault Including Saturation Effect and Variable Fault Parameters

This investigation deals with a mathematical model for a distribution transformer including saturation effect. To this end, the equations related to a three phase transformer are specified and the effect of an inter-turn fault is included. Naturally by applying an inter-turn fault the inductance and resistance matrix will change. Thus, unknown quantities of inductances and resistances for compl...

Fault-simulation Programs For

Three programs are described here which have been used for integrated-circuit yield modeling at the IBM facility in Essex Junction, Vermont. The first program generates negative binomial distributions which are used to represent the frequency distribution of the number of faults per chip. Calculations with the generalized combination function A ! B in APL are limited to simulations of up to 99 ...

Sensor Fault Detection for a class of Uncertain Nonlinear Systems Using ‎Sliding Mode Observers

This paper deals with the issues of sensor fault detection for a class of Lipschitz uncertain nonlinear system. By definition coordinate transformation matrix for system states and output system, at first the original system divided into two subsystems. the first subsystem includes uncertainties but without any sensor faults and the second subsystem has sensor faults but is free of uncertaintie...

Abstract Fault Tolerance: A Model-Theoretic Approach to Fault Tolerance and Fault Compensation without Error Correction

This paper explores the concept of “pure fault tolerance”--when a system can fulfill its computational goal, even though some of its components do not fulfill theirs. This leads to a natural statement of the composition problem for a very general concept of architecture: to what extent are the properties of a system based on that architecture a function of the properties of the components? The ...

Fault Diagnosis and Fault-Tolerant SVPWM Technique of Six-phase Converter under Open-Switch Fault

In this paper, a new open-switch fault diagnosis method is proposed for the six-phase AC-DC converter based on the difference between the phase current and the corresponding reference using an adaptive threshold. The open-switch faults are detected without any additional equipment and complicated calculations, since the proposed fault detection method is integrated with the controller required ...
